Zig-Zagging through Florida

We have been on the road for a little over a week. Last update was in South Carolina, but that seems like light years ago.  Sitting in a McDonalds somewhere in northern Florida, typing away to connect with our fans.

What a fun and exciting tour its been so far.  From South Carolina, we ventured into Georgia, then finally to Florida. Much thanks and love goes out to the fans, old and new who have been coming out to the shows, and the nice people who have let all 7 of us crazy people sleep at the homes.  All the Jah Bobs in Florida, thank you for your constant amusement.

The shows so far have been great. Miami was awesome, they really know how to throwdown in that city. Thanks to the Miami New Times for a great review...read it here.   After Miami, we drove up to Sarasota. What a fun town that was.  Thanks to Bootsy for hooking us up there.  From Sarasota, we drove all the way to lovely Boca Raton. We played an awesome bar called the Funky Buddha.  This place is full of craft beers, lovely hookahs, wonderful employees, and it has an awesome intimate vibe.  From there we played Gainesville, Orlando, and are currently off to Panama City, then back down Florida to Satellite Beach and Sebastian.  From there its off to New Orleans.  Needless to say, the whole iLa crew is feeling great and loving life and the adventure of being on the road.

Tour Day 2 ::: Friends, Family, and Fireworks

We are officially on tour. Its the morning of Day 2 and we are in Columbia, SC. Staying with some family along the way has been great.  Were excited to head down to Miami today, making the drive from South Carolina to Miami to post up for a while as we complete our Florida run.  We had a great show in Boston for our CD release show.  Playing to our home town and giving them a bunch of new tunes to dance to was a special experience.

Yesterday we drove into true Southern territory. Most of the band hasn't been this south before so its all very exciting. This country is big and apart from playing music, the best thing about being on the road is seeing the US of A!

The van dubbed "The Yellow Submarine" is running strong, everyone is in good spirits. We stopped at the strangely famous South of the Border yesterday and got a few fireworks. Saving them for a special occassion.  Weve got Florida, New Orleans, Austin, Cali, Oregon, Utah, and finally Rhode Island to finish out this six week tour.  We are PUMPED!  Thanks to everyone who has supported us along the way. We couldnt do what we are doing now without you guys.  Props to everyone's family, friends, and lovers for putting up with us!
